With over 20 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and higher education, I have authored more than 350 courses tailored for adult learners. I have taught at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and Louisiana State University, and currently serve as a professor and senior doctoral chair at Grand Canyon University. In this role, I mentor doctoral candidates through every stage of their dissertation, specializing in research methodologies and academic leadership.
As the founder of Arizona Provider Training and CarePoint Institute, I have played a key role in shaping caregiver education and professional development. My expertise in leadership training and coaching has led me to become a Maxwell Leadership Certified Corporate Facilitator, Speaker, and Coach, with additional certifications in Emotional Intelligence, Working Genius, and DISC. I work with organizations to enhance leadership effectiveness through workshops, coaching, and speaking engagements.
Beyond education and leadership, I am the host of the Beyond the Classroom Podcast, where I engage with industry leaders on topics ranging from advocacy and leadership to education and public policy. My passion for community impact extends to my volunteer work as a board member for Autism Life and Living and CeCe’s Hope Center, as well as serving as the Chair of the Direct Care Worker Alliance.
I speak on a variety of topics, including leadership development, educational entrepreneurship, advocacy, and dissertation success, empowering individuals and teams to create meaningful impact.
